Unnecessary amount of effort, better spent elsewhere, since you can edit your own posts. If you didn't "mean" to post in the first place, don't press the damn button. Think twice.

i made a perfectly reasonable post today about how much i like turtles, i go back a while after and it has been deleted :O:O:O! SOMEONE CALL THE DELETE POLICE! (Which we really need by the way)

+1 to this. Just imagine the flame wars you could start, then simply delete the "spark" before an admin reads the thread. :-)

Not really necessary. Though i think you should fix the double-post thingy, which seems to be a common issue on the forums. Simply put a timelimit between when posting, as in "you have to wait 30...

I've now implemented a simple double post protection. (you can't post more than once in 30 seconds in any particular thread). However, for reasons mentioned before, deleting posts is not necessary....
